Fresh orange is combined with ginger heat and zesty lime to craft a truly delicious margarita perfect for Cinco de Mayo!
Ingredients
  • 1½ TBSP fresh ginger (peeled & roughly chopped)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1½ oz white or silver tequila
  • Salt & fruit zest for rim (I prefer Course Pink Himalayan Salt)
  • Extra orange and lime slices for garnish
Instructions
  1. Make a ginger simple syrup by stirring granulated sugar into water in small saucepan on medium heat until dissolved. Add ginger and turn off heat. Allow to sit at room temperature for 20 mins so all that ginger goodness diffuses into the syrup. (Note: Extra syrup can be stored in airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 month).
  2. Add 1 oz ginger syrup, orange juice, lime juice and tequila to cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake.
  3. Strain into rimmed glasses filled with ice.
  4. Garnish with lime and orange wedges and enjoy every sip!
