These Watermelon Margaritas are super easy to make and absolutely delicious. Sipping one al fresco is a great way to enjoy the last of these summer nights. If you end up whipping some up, I would love to hear what you think in the comment section below!
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend!
Easy Watermelon Margaritas (recipe makes 4 servings)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups of watermelon chunks (seeds removed)
Juice of one orange
Juice of one lime
3/4 cup White Tequila (I used Hornitos)
Sea salt + lime zest for salt rim
Lime wedge for garnish
Instructions:
1. To make simple syrup, combine sugar in water in pot on medium-high heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. (Simple syrup may be stored in air-tight container in refrigerator for up to one month).
2. In a blender, blend watermelon chunks to a smooth puree (I just use my NutriBullet). Then strain puree through a fine-mesh strainer.
3. In a pitcher, combine strained watermelon puree, simple syrup, fresh orange juice, fresh lime juice and tequila.
4. Serve in glasses with lime salt rim filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
