Fall is my favorite time of year, and I love cozying up in my home with autumnal decor in order to embrace the aesthetic of the season. Since my work schedule changed when Bennett was born I have to respect a new budget when it comes to styling my home, especially with rotating seasonal pieces. Today I’m sharing some easy, inexpensive ways to add some festive Fall vibes to your home.
One easy way to add a little Fall joy is by placing mini white pumpkins and scented pine cones in various areas in your house. My mini white pumpkins are from Trader Joe’s, and I buy cinnamon scented pine cones from my local grocery store. Not only do you see cute little Fall details around rooms in the house, but the warm spicy scent is so inviting.
One place I like placing the mini pumpkins and pine cones is on a vintage mirrored tray that I found years ago at an antique store (I literally paid $2 for it). This tray rotates around our apartment depending on my mood, but I love using it as part of my dining room tablescape.
I generally love displaying old books around my apartment, but the number pretty much quadruples in the Fall. I love the way it adds a little bit of coziness and warmth to a space. I buy old books at a local antique market for a couple dollars apiece.
I also like decorating with cranberries on the vine. I usually just place them in glass milk bottles that I get from Michael’s for a few dollars.
I also love putting out bowls filled with red apples. These apples are just from my grocery store, and they are so perfect they almost look fake.
Copper is my favorite Fall metal, and I like adding copper accents wherever possible. Moscow mule mugs make the perfect little Fall accents to your tray or bar cart.
You can also add a little bit of Fall comfort to your chair or couch with a few warm throw blankets. One other trick I have to save money is to buy throw pillows that have a print on one side but is just neutral fabric on the other. This pillow has a pineapple on the other side that I display in the summer.
During Fall I fill woven baskets with long stem Fall florals. I found this bunch of cotton at Homegoods and the faux pussywillows at Michael’s for a few dollars.
These mini pumpkins on a vine are from Trader Joe’s. I just place them in a simple vase, and they become the most adorable Fall centerpiece!
Adding Fall accents to your home can be done simply and inexpensively! Have you ever heard of the website Furniture.com? I was recently introduced to the site and love that you can search thousands of quality pieces of furniture in one spot! It also has a “Find Local Sales” tool that is updated daily and allows you to browse the best furniture deals in your area!
I hope you guys enjoy adding Fall touches to your home as much as I do! I can’t believe I’m already thinking about my Holiday decor!! Where has the year gone? I hope you all have a wonderful day!
