Before moving up to the northeast I used to daydream about Autumns in New England. Well, the daydreams were in no way romanticized because my surroundings are just as beautiful as I imagined. Fall in New England looks like one big watercolor painting.
Houndstooth is the perfect pattern to pair with my quintessential Fall. It is a classic pattern that has been around for quite some time. (Fun fact: According to Wiki it originated in Scotland in the 1800’s). I was thrilled to find a well-priced pencil skirt in a Houndstooth pattern. I love the sleekness of pencil skirts and believe it can flatter any body type. I chose to pair my skirt with a tight-fitting tucked-in turtleneck to help define my waist.
I’ve had this cape jacket for a few years now. I love wearing it because it reminds me of a fun shopping trip with a close friend of mine when we both bought this exact same coat! I still love it, and it’s perfect for this time of year when the air is cool but not cold enough for a heavier jacket.
I know I’ve beat this to death, but I just love getting dressed for Fall weather. I love figuring out how to layer clothes and really appreciate being able to throw on tights and not worry about my pale legs. I hope you guys have fun putting together your Fall looks!
