Spiced Cherry Sparkler (recipe makes one cocktail)
Ingredients:
Vanilla and Spice Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cinnamon stick
4 whole black peppercorns
2 whole cloves
*For the syrup you can use any spices that remind you of the Holidays.
Cocktail:
3 Tbsp vodka (I used this one)
3/4 cup tart cherry juice (found in grocery stores)
3 Tbsp Vanilla and Spice Simple Syrup
Club soda
Rosemary sprigs for garnish
Instructions:
1. To make Vanilla and Spice Simple Syrup, combine sugar and water in small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add spices then turn off heat allowing to cool to room temperature. Strain and store in airtight container if not using right away. (Simple syrup can be stored in refrigerator up to one month)
2. To make cocktail add vodka to highball glass filled with ice. Add cherry juice and simple syrup and stir. Top with club soda and garnish with rosemary sprig.
