The Biggest Baby Shower Ever

Last week I was so honored to attend The Biggest Baby Shower Ever hosted by Big City Moms held right here in Boston. The event was such an amazing experience for me and my family, and I wish I had known about it when I was pregnant with Bennett. But it was still extremely beneficial to me and Brian as parents to a 1-year-old. We were able to discover new brands, test out gear we have been thinking about purchasing and meet a lot of parents with babies and parents-to-be!

The Pockit Compact Stroller by gb holds a Guinness World Record for the most compact stroller! What’s even more amazing is that it takes just a few seconds to get it from this tiny little storage square into stroller mode again. It was so much fun to see it demonstrated! It is compact enough to fit in an airplane carry-on and is perfect for those restaurants that are on the smaller side and give you the “Are you serious?” face when you bring in your stroller.

Bennett was able to try out a bunch of car seats at the event, which was perfect since we are upgrading him to a convertible car seat from his infant carrier seat in the next few weeks. We loved this one by Peg Perego.

Bennett was so excited that our favorite organic baby food brand, Happy Family, was there giving samples of Happy Baby and Happy Tot pouches! And Moms, have you tried their Happy Mama Prenatal Gummies? These seriously taste amazing, and I actually look forward to taking my prenatal vitamin in the morning!

My stomach had started growling when we got to the Shower, and I was so excited to see Sweetgreen was there passing out their signature salad samples! It really hit the spot! We moved near a Sweetgreen when I was 37 weeks pregnant with Bennett, and I swear I had one of their salads every day my last 2 weeks of pregnancy!

There was an amazing assortment of complimentary beverages! They pretty much had every La Croix flavor (my favorite)!

How beautiful are these swaddles by Nested Bean? I wish I had one for Bennett when he was an infant! I love discovering new brands and can’t wait to have one of these lovely swaddles for Baby Sopp 2 someday!

If you are expecting or are a new mom and want to learn more about the different products out there for you and your baby, you NEED to attend The Biggest Baby Shower Ever in your area! When I went to register during my pregnancy I shed a few tears at Buy Buy Baby and literally almost had a breakdown. It’s just so overwhelming to stand in the middle of a big box store looking at so many products and not know what you need. Attending an event like The Biggest Baby Shower Ever or becoming a member of Big City Moms will help ease a lot of the anxiety involved in picking out your baby gear. It’s a comfortable environment to casually walk around with your friends or significant other and be able to learn from experts and ask questions about products. We all want to pick the best for our little ones after all 🙂 And did I mention that practically every vendor holds a giveaway for things from books to car seats and strollers! And for those guests that worked up an appetite while walking around the biggest baby shower, there was delicious food and drinks! Guests dined on everything from hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, and spanikopita to cupcakes and ice cream, and cotton candy.
