I want to preface this post by apologizing for my “I’m freezing my tushie off- Brian hurry up and take the picture!!!” face. I think the wind chill made it about 7 degrees the morning these photos were taken. My jacket was within reach, but I was feeling ambitious and really wanted to post a coat-less look. I’m so over this Boston Winter, and right about the time this goes live, Snowpocalypse 2017 is forecasted to start.
I’ve said it before and I will say it until old age confines me to a mumu or I decide to join a convent, my absolute favorite accessory is a silk scarf. There is so much you can do with it including tying it around your neck, around your handbag or wearing it in your hair. It can really uplift an otherwise casual outfit with a fun burst of color. Ann Taylor is definitely one of my favorite retailers for scarves since they always have a beautiful assortment of prints.
One of my favorite ways to play with contrast is a colorful silk scarf paired with a gray top. I always turn to Gap for inexpensive but classic neutral shirts and sweaters. The one I’m wearing is from last year, but here is a link for an almost identical version currently available.
And I know I’m repeating myself when I say how I think these jeans are so amazing. They’re the perfect amount of “skinny” and I just love the length when worn with a pair of pointed toe pumps.
I hope the rest of you here in the northeast stay warm and safe during Winter Storm Stella! You can shop my look from this post below! Enjoy your day!
