A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

A couple of Sundays ago, before I had to head in to work, we made our annual visit to historic Allandale Farm to pick our pumpkins for the season. We love Allandale Farm since it’s very close to our home and we can always count on an amazing pumpkin selection. We also always scoop up some of their incredible farm fresh fare from the farmstand. It’s a day I look forward to every year.

Bennett was so funny on this year’s trip. He just kept shrieking with excitement from the moment we arrived, mesmerized by all the shapes and colors. He had no problem picking out his as well as the rest of our pumpkins. If given a choice he would have made sure all of Allandale Farm’s pumpkins came back to our house.

Brian and I enjoyed some of their hot apple cider as we picked out our favorite goodies from the farmstand. Allandale Farm partners with other local farms and local New England food producers and to offer an even greater extent of goods in their shop. You can find everything there ranging from farm fresh fruit and veggies to locally sourced meats and cheeses. But our household favorite are their apple cider donut muffins. I can’t even begin to explain how delicious they are and they don’t even last a day after we take them home.
