Another Saturday and another day of exploring a quintessential New England coastal town. Since we experienced another true Spring weekend, Brian and I took full advantage of the temperate weather and took the kids to Scituate Harbor for a day of playground hunting, homemade ice cream and ocean views.
Located on the South Shore, about an hour’s drive from our home in Brookline, we found Scituate Harbor’s town center to be immensely charming with an abundance of locally owned shops, restaurants and picturesque seaside views. We started our afternoon by just wandering around the village. Even though it was a beautiful day, the town seemed quiet and we were captivated by its stillness and melodic bells or wind chimes sounding as the sea breeze swayed the boats.
After exploring the village we treated the kids to ice cream at Nona’s while still getting to wallow in beautiful harbor views. Bennett enjoyed his usual scoop of vanilla in a cup while Brian and I shared their life-changing banana and oreo, which was absolutely amazing!!
The L.L. Bean top I wore for our harbor adventure is one of my favorites. The color I’m wearing is not currently in stock, but I linked the top in its current available options. Stripes maintain a dominant presence in my wardrobe since I find the pattern naturally adds a classic element to an outfit. You can see other ways to sport some stripes in this post, this post and this post. I tied a light Banana Republic sweater just to add some interest. I’m also thrilled to share that my round wicker bag is back in stock this season! It’s a favorite of mine and served me well last year during the Spring and Summer months.
