I never could have imagined that the next time I returned to this website we would be in the middle of a global public health crisis. However the scale-down of our eye care department has resulted in my spending more time around the house as my responsibilities this week were mainly focused on telemedicine. Of course it’s difficult to eliminate all anxiety with the unknowns of the implications of this pandemic and how long our lives will be affected in this virus’ wake, but I can’t help but take some delight in this extra time with Bennett and Austyn.
With all the darkness that seems to be around us at present, I almost missed the first day of Spring. Although it’s hard to predict how things will look a month from now, Spring is the time of some of my favorite events like The Masters and The Kentucky Derby. I also love converting my wardrobe and home decor from darker Winter hues to soft fresh shades of Spring. I’ve found a few items that have me looking forward to this change in season that I wanted to share with you. I hope you enjoy my collection of Fresh Spring Finds For Closet and Home!
First, I find this black and white floral dress to be so interesting and sophisticated. The sleeve length is perfect for the transitional weather and I think the knot at the waist would be very flattering. I’m also looking forward to trading in my leather Winter satchel for a more Spring-worthy woven bag. I plan on ordering these blush wide-leg pants for stylish weekend comfort and I have these sand colored leather flats on my wishlist.
I plan on trading my current evergreen scented candles for this Rose Colored Glasses Voluspa candle since it makes the optometrist in me smile. I also have some wall space that I want to fill with this beautiful Lisa Golightly print. I want to order this natural basket set to keep up with storage demands from the kids’ ever growing toy collection and I think this striped lamp would add some pep to my living room.
Finally, I have two Spring goals in mind: to personalize and perfect a Spring paella recipe (so I plan on picking up this pan) and to grow some herbs on my kitchen windowsill and not kill them (hence this herb planter that comes with scissors)!
