Well, we’ve been in our condo for about a year and I just got around to putting a rug under our dining room table. The delay manifested from a combination of trying to adhere to the furnishing budget for our rental since we’re saving to buy a house and just being picky and not finding the perfect rug for the space. But, finally, last week I finally found my dream bargain black and white dining room rug and put an end to my rug saga!
I was in search of a geometric black and white rug outside of a traditional striped pattern since we have block stripe runners lining our hallways. I believe this one truly hit the mark since it flows with the traditional black and white stripe runners in the hall without being identical. I love how the modernness ties with the art on the walls as well as the fun play against my traditional dining room chairs and rustic wooden table. The contrast and striking pattern of the rug really pops with the rest of the room being mostly muted tones.
The best part of this find is that I was able to snag this rug from rugs.com for only $119 fitting well within my decorating budget!
Can you spot Austyn? She snuck into this picture…
The light fixture in our dining room is not my favorite but I’ve learned to live with it. In fact, it has grown on me a little bit.
I hope you all have enjoyed this post! I’ve linked the rug as well as the rest of my dining room details below!
