Sunflower Fields | SEE GLASS

Boston Life & Style Blogger, The Northern Magnolia, is featuring the perfect day to night mustard-colored dress for a family day visiting the sunflower fields of Colby Farm in Newbury, Massachusetts.

Last Sunday we took a drive up to Newbury, Massachusetts to visit the Sunflower Fields at Colby Farm. When we approached the fields they almost didn’t look real. The vibrant golden color was incredibly mesmerizing and neither Brian nor I had ever seen anything like it. I was so excited to photograph Bennett standing between the giant flowers, all he wanted to do was run through the fields and posing for me was the last thing on his mind.

Dresses don’t get more classic, simple and comfortable than this crepe shift by Lush. I love the mustard color, but it’s also available in black, sand, olive and burgundy. I’ve been wearing the heck out of this dress, so I’m thinking of picking it up in another color! I wore it casually with a pair of Converses but you can also dress it up with some fun jewelry and heels for a night out!

If you live nearby I highly recommend visiting Colby Farm during sunflower season. Enjoy the beauty of the flowers while getting some incredible family photos, then head to the farm stand and pick up some farm fresh foods to inspire your dinner. If you’re not in the area, you should totally try to find some sunflower fields near you. The beautiful color will be hard to forget.
