One of my favorite things about living in Boston is the proximity you have to surrounding beautiful northeastern towns. Brian, Bennett and I have made it a habit of driving out to North Shore or South Shore towns on a weekend afternoon, exploring the area, then finding a local spot to enjoy dinner. This past weekend we actually stayed local (mainly to an unfortunate stomach bug that I endured Friday-Saturday). We spent the weekend walking around our neighborhood and I was reminded that there is beauty and charm in our own backyard and a fun weekend doesn’t always have to involve a new destination being checked off our “must-go” list.
This dress was the perfect comfortable, yet stylish ensemble for a local weekend excursion. I tend to favor a shift silhouette for casual dresses simply for the comfort but I loved how this particular shift dress had a waist-cinching tie giving me a little shape. The chambray dress has a masculine pinstripe which I thought looked so fun amidst the feminine ruffles on the sleeves and hem.
When shopping for dresses this late in the summer I prefer to only buy pieces that I can take across seasons and I think this dress would look great with a pair of tights and booties!
Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you’re having an amazing day! You can shop my look from this post below!
