When we were in Southampton over the 4th of July Weekend my aunt and grandmother, ever so kindly, met us out at the beach house early on Friday so they could watch Bennett and give Brian and I a chance to head out for a lunch date in Southampton Village. Brian and I going out for any meal sans toddler is a total rarity so we were sure to savour our peaceful lunch that didn’t involve constantly trying to make sure Bennett remains entertained and quiet. It felt so good to not have to ask for the check immediately after getting our food as a “Bennett meltdown” precautionary.
We ended up eating at Jobs Lane Gastro Pub and it served as the Hamptons lunch date spot of my dreams. We were able to score a table outside, sip on some wine and enjoy a truly delicious meal. Before sitting down to lunch we stopped at the new brick and mortar One Kings Lane store on Jobs Lane. The store is located in a former 18th century library which has incredibly beautiful grounds that we also spent some time walking around.
I chose to wear this gorgeous embroidered drop waist dress for our lunch date. My grandmother told me the dress looked like it belonged in Mykonos, and being from a Greek island herself, I say her word should be etched in stone. This dress has beautiful movement, and the drop waist silhouette is incredibly flattering.
I paired the dress with my $10 Old Navy hat that has pretty much stayed on my head all summer, some wedge sandals and the prettiest blue Coach tote.
