Little White Dress in Beacon Hill

I love spending Saturdays walking around the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill. There is a charming lure of burning gas lamps, narrow streets and colonial brick row houses, and the area is startlingly quiet for being just a few blocks away from the bustling financial district. It is filled with beautiful boutiques, antique shops and fantastic restaurants, and it’s very easy to find yourself wandering for hours in this historically beautiful piece of Boston.

Last Saturday we headed to Charles Street to browse the Annual Sidewalk Sale. Local boutiques had an abundance of beautiful merchandise marked down. We had such a great time browsing around before heading to Lala Rokh for dinner (an incredible traditional Persian restaurant on Mt. Vernon Street). Our dinner was slightly less successful than the rest of our day since Bennett made it abundantly clear to all the patrons that he’d rather run around, so we ended up having to take our food to go. It’s such a roll of the dice when we take Bennett out to eat. Sometimes he’s an angel and other times he acts like a little tasmanian devil who got into his daddy’s espresso.

I adore little white dresses in the summer, especially on days when I know I’ll be doing a lot of walking around. And this sweet sundress is the epitome of the LWD! It’s so lightweight and comfortable, and the ruffle hem is adorable. The shift silhouette is so breezy, and I know I’m going to be wearing it all summer long. The best part is I found it for under $20!!

I paired the dress with a wide brim straw hat, some red sandals and my favorite wicker bag which is FINALLY BACK IN STOCK!! WoHoo!! My advice is if you love it you should hurry up and snag it! I know it won’t be around long!
