Last Friday evening we headed to “our spot” to watch the sun go down while Bennett took a quick nap before going to dinner. I absolutely love this special place of ours. It is so peaceful and the sounds of nature really start to resonate at sunset. It’s also the time of day kayakers put their boats in the water for a sunset paddle.
Although Boston is starting to warm up, the evenings in New England are still brisk. My favorite type of jacket for warmer months is a denim jacket, and I wear them so much that I keep a few different types of fits and washes in my closet. My most recent denim jacket addition is from DSTLD, an e-commerce company that features high-quality classic closet staples at affordable prices (I featured some more DSTLD pieces in this post). This jacket quickly became my denim jacket of choice because I love the classic medium vintage wash and it’s unexpectedly soft. The best part is it’s only $65!
These suede mules look sophisticated and are SO COMFORTABLE! I love that I can wear them to the office but also pair them with a more casual outfit. I found them at DSW and they’re under $80!
I also recently added this cute saddle bag to my bag collection. I love the versatility of the cognac brown color, but it also comes in blush and black! Plus it’s ON SALE for $24!
Do you have a special sunset spot for your family? I love our Friday sunset tradition since it gives us time to talk and reconnect after the long, busy week, and it’s close to impossible to get in a conversation at dinner when we’re constantly trying to make sure Bennett is distracted and doesn’t have any utensils to throw! I hope you guys enjoyed this post; you can shop the pieces from my look below:
