You would think that saying so long to the suburbs would mean you’re also saying goodbye to a backyard. Fortunately, Boston and the surrounding neighborhoods have the most incredible park system, and we have never spent so much time outdoors, even in the middle of winter. Larz Anderson Park, the largest park in Brookline, is the most beautiful place to enjoy a Saturday afternoon walk.
The park has rolling slopes providing the most beautiful scenery. At the park’s highest point you can also see one of the most amazing views of Boston. There’s hardly a time we’re there when we don’t see photographers setting up equipment to capture the park’s beauty. There’s even an outdoor ice skating rink at the top of the hill that I can’t wait to take Bennett to when he’s a little older.
My Saturday afternoon park-wear consisted of this V-neck tunic over this long-sleeve white tee. The light green color of the tunic is going to continue looking pretty in the Spring, and the length of this tee makes it the perfect layering piece!
I know I wear these jeans all the time, but you know when you find a pair of jeans that fit so perfectly they practically melt on you?! And they are the perfect ankle length!
There are so many parks we have yet to explore, but it’s difficult to resist heading over to this neighborhood beauty. I can’t wait until the weather warms up and we can have a picnic on the hills. Until then just taking it all in on our Saturday afternoon family walks will do just fine.
