Blanket of Snow. Blanket Scarf.

We weren’t expecting 6 inches of snow this past weekend, but once the snow started falling Saturday morning, it snowed well into the night. I know that for many New Englanders the snow is considered a burden, but it hasn’t lost its magic for these southerners yet, even with all the shoveling.

When we woke up on Sunday morning and saw that the storm had passed, we headed out the door so Bennett could have fun on his new sled. As amazing as it was to enjoy a cozy Saturday snowed in, it felt great to head outside early in the morning when the snow was still untouched. It felt as if it were our own beautiful snow globe.

The right cold weather accessories are essential when you live in a city with as unsympathetic of a winter as Boston. This blanket scarf was a Christmas gift, and on top of the plaid pattern that I love, it is the coziest scarf I have ever worn!

I often wear my Hunters when out in the snow, but I always make sure to pair them with really warm socks. As much as I love having fun in the snow, I’m pretty intolerant to the cold, so I have to make sure I’m totally comfy (so I don’t drive Brian too crazy 🙂 )

I paired my blanket scarf and Hunter boots with a pair of skinny jeans and a cozy ivory colored sweater. This is pretty much my winter uniform since I love the contrast of an ivory or beige sweater with a pair of dark jeans and dark Hunters. I hope you all are having an amazing week so far!
