Celebrating Christmas Day in New York with a high in the 50’s was such a treat and so totally unexpected. Since we’ve been hibernating through 30 degree temps in Boston, we wanted Bennett to enjoy some time outdoors. We were visiting family in Lloyd Harbor on Long Island’s North Shore, so we headed up to Lloyd Neck to take a walk around Caumsett State Historic Park.
Bennett basked in the sunshine, and Brian and I were moved by the beauty of the park. There were jogging paths, historical structures and breathtaking views of the Long Island Sound.
Doesn’t Bennett look like Paddington Bear in his Toggle Duffle Coat?! I love this coat so much; it’s by far my favorite thing in my little boy’s closet.
If we weren’t going to experience a snowy white Christmas, then a 52 degree day in the sunshine was certainly a fair trade. Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share these family pictures with you guys! What are you guys doing for New Years? I can’t say we’ll be doing anything but getting cozy on the couch with a few cocktails, but I honestly cannot wait! Brian has been working so hard these last few weeks finishing out the year, and it will be so wonderful to enjoy some relaxing time together.
