Cranberry Ginger Sparkler (makes 2 cocktails)
Ingredients
Ginger Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp fresh ginger (peeled & roughly chopped)
Cocktail:
5 oz 100% cranberry juice (I used this one from Whole Foods)
3 oz pear juice (I used the Looza brand from Whole Foods)
3 oz gin (This one is my current favorite)
1 oz ginger simple syrup
Ginger beer
Whole cranberries & candied ginger for garnish
Instructions
Ginger Simple Syrup:
Stir sugar and water in small pot on medium-high heat until sugar is dissolved. Turn off heat and add ginger and allow to cool to room temperature. Strain. (**Simple syrup can be stored in airtight container in fridge up to 1 month)
Cocktail:
Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add cranberry juice, pear juice, gin and ginger simple syrup. Shake well, pour into glass and top with ginger beer. Garnish with cranberries and candied ginger.
