Utilizing appropriate social distancing procedures and disinfection precautions, the Easter Bunny assured me he is going to manage to hop over to our home this year. I always end up kicking myself for waiting until the last minute to gather Easter Basket Stuffers that the kids will enjoy. However, I think I’ve managed to come up with a few candy-free ideas that they will love finding in their baskets on Easter morning. Since it looks like they’re not going to have an opportunity to scream their way out of church this year on account of COVID-19, Easter Baskets and Morning Bunny Pancakes will probably complete our Easter celebration this year.
I’m sharing some items I’m considering for my daughter, Austyn (age 23 months) and son, Bennett (age 4). I hope some of these finds inspire some fun for your baskets as well. I was so excited to find these adorable baskets ON SALE at Nordstrom. I love them so much and will request Mr. Bunny continue to bring them year after year.
Since Austyn is now nearing 2, she has really started developing a personality of her own and it was really fun to capture her sweet, slightly wild character in her basket. She loves dressing up in costumes which is why this princess dress up kit was a no-brainer. Her love of pretend play also extends to her toy kitchen which is why I think she’d really love this wooden fruit set which she can “cut” while honing some fine motor skills. I love these very affordable personalized wooden puzzle and included it in Bennett’s basket as well. I also use the Easter Basket as a way to stock up on some Summer essentials such as this adorable personalized wide brim hat, these cute round sunglasses and this sweet woven bunny bag. This plush bunny looks so incredibly soft and I think she would love to cuddle up with it while reading a Llama Llama book (one of her favorite series).
For Bennett’s basket I also plan on including some sort of stuffed bunny but traded the Llama Llama book for a Little Blue Truck book (his favorite series). He also loves making music which is why I’m going to throw in some of these Easter egg shakers. He still really loves his bath so I’m going to include this whale bubble bath toy and also get him ready for Summer with this cute anchor cap and these tortoise shell sunglasses. Also, this play tool belt is the cutest and I think he’d enjoy wearing it following his daddy around the house if I can ever get him to fix things (ha).
Happy Easter Everyone!
