Seafoam is one of my absolute favorite hues. I feel extremely juvenile saying that so bluntly as it makes me feel as though I’m taken back to kindergarten and responding to the question, “What is your favorite color?” I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point I blurted out “Seafoam” when I was a little kid because I’ve adored the color for so long. My love for Seafoam remained unchanged but my answer to the other kindergarten-age question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” certainly changed from, “a Rockette”.
Seafoam is a hue that portrays calm and a sense of relaxation. It is an earthy color which makes me love to feature it in my clothing and accessories as well as kitchen and bathroom decor. I especially love the way it looks contrasted against an all white kitchen or bathroom. Its complementary color is reddish-orange which is probably why I’m so drawn to this beautiful bathroom rug. The contrasting colors are so gorgeous and I love its round shape. I also really like this soft blue area rug. It’s hand-loomed in India and would look gorgeous on the floor of our new condo.
The wrap midi dress above not only is the prettiest shade of seafoam but has a dainty white floral print and the same print can be found in the version of a midi skirt. I also love the simplicity and subtle sheen of this top as well as this structured Coach bag and these pretty chiffon floral earrings (I’ve featured a similar style here). This salt mill would look so darling in a white kitchen, and I can picture Brian and I sipping some drinks with friends on the deck out of these adorable bubble glass tumblers. Finally, I have a few globes I’ve collected for shelving decor, but I’m thinking this one needs to be added to my collection.
